Meta AI Chatbot Poses as Licensed Therapist

Not long after Meta's CEO Mark Zuckerberg made the claim that AI chatbots allow users to make more connections than ever before, Meta has been urged to investigate the "blatant deception" behind their platform's AI therapists.

Previously, the company made the claim that they are "continuously learning and improving our products, ensuring they meet user needs," in response to any criticisms of their AI Studio platform, including when their AI bots were found sexting with minors. The chatbots still continue to provide fabricated credentials and make claims of authenticity, despite the urging of multiple US senators. When you use Meta's AI platforms you agree that "Messages are generated by AI and may be inaccurate or inappropriate,” though this is not made clear at any point to the end user.
